Jerene Salmi Obituary
Laurium: Jerene J. (Bousu) Salmi, 77 of Laurium, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 while in comfort care at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock.
She was born on October 9, 1941 in Detroit, the daughter of Richard J. and Eva (Tyvela) Bousu. She loved to travel and see new places with her long-time partner Paul Pyykkonen.
Jerene is survived by her son, Richard (Venessa) Salmi of Calumet, her daughter Beverly (Forrest) Raisanen of Baltic, and her grandsons Jonathan, Sean, and Aden.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the O'Neill-Dennis Funeral Home in Hancock with pastor Peter Vorhes to officiate. A luncheon will be provided at the Raisanen home following the services.
