Nancy was one of my best friends, when I lived and worked in the Houghton area, for 25 years.. We would visit in her little library office, often as a counseling session for me, or working on union issues (always after hours, of course). She was so strong and knowledgeable. We would visit at her home, after school, for coffee and more "problem-solving". The time we spent laughing, skiing, walking, baking, or whatever, are memories etched in my heart forever. Even after Nancy retired, Tammy and I decided we still needed to stop after school, for that all-important coffee and staying connected. Then, there was the Sunday evening tradition of watching our favorite show together at her home. Nancy encouraged and supported me through some very rough times in my life. That's who she was. Caring and loving. She may have seemed tough on the outside, but a soft heart beat within. We will miss you, dear friend.

Nancy was a good friend. She was funny, interesting, outspoken and at the same time careful and accepting of people. She seemed to always know what was really important and what could be a source of humour. I will miss her coffee and conversations. My condolences to her family and many friends.

We will miss our summer visits with Cousin Nancy so much. Her keen observations, sharp wit and readiness to laugh made every get together - at her beautiful home or down at the Grandma Enid's Camp - something to truly look forward to. Many years of meals, glasses of wine, cups of coffee, stories, recipes and always laughter will never be forgotten. Deepest condolences to all who loved her.

Though we did not really spend a lot of time together, Nancy and I were good friends over the years, personally and professionally. Those who sa.y she was brave and strong are right. She was also clever and truthful. She had a great dry sense of humor. We had fun together. I don't know why she died so early, but all I can say is "God speed. You deserve the very best!"

Jeannie; I'm sorry that you lost Nancy at such a relatively young age. She always helped keep the Mason Street irregulars in line.
