William H. Bill Mey Obituary
Fulton Location: William H. “Bill” Mey, 88, of Fulton Location, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Lighthouse at Hancock.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 17, 1929 to the late William, Sr. and Martha (Ristola) Mey. Following high school graduation, he enlisted into the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict for 5 years. He retired from Northwest Airlines after 25 years as an airline mechanic in Minneapolis.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Georgia Mey.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Joyce Mey of Fulton; her daughter, Susan; Bill's daughters Karen, Linda, and Wendy; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Burial and military honors will take place at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center, 200 First Street SW, Rochester, MN 55905 in the name of William H. Mey.
