Betty Voldarski Obituary

Hancock: Betty J. Voldarski, 87, a resident of Hancock, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2020, surrounded by her family at the Winona House of Portage Pointe where she had been a resident patient since November of 2016.

     She was born on June 7, 1932 in Trimountain to the late John and Mayme Seppala. She was employed for many years at Cypress Manor in Hancock until her retirement.

     She was first united in marriage to Robert Puska who passed away in February of 1976. In November of 1985 she married Frank Voldarski who preceded her in death in July of 1991.

     Betty is survived  by her children Debbie (Patrick) Beyers of Dollar Bay, Linda (Joe) Plesha of Hurontown, Sherry (Rick) Rivest of Woodbury, Minnesota, Janet (Roger) Kilpela of Marquette, Roger (Tina) Puska of Atlantic Mine, Suzanne (Frank) Voldarski of Rochester, Minnesota, and Beverly (Jamie) Trevethan of Chassell. She is also survived by step-daughters Gloria (Gene) Schlais of Ironwood and Sharon (Robert) Davies of Wamego, Kansas; sisters Helen (Oliver) Kainulainen of Ishpeming, Mary Burgan of Houghton, Alice Kolka of Chassell, Margie (Robert) Andrews of Ripley, and Sandy (George) Kilpela of Painesdale; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     Besides her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by a son, Charlie Puska; a sister, Kathleen Seppala; and step-daughter, Patricia Ollanketo.

     Private visitation and funeral services will be held at the O’Neill-Dennis Funeral Home in Hancock with Vicar Micah Cavaleri of Grace Lutheran Church of South Range to officiate. Spring interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock.
