Dollar Bay: Kathryn A. Starika, 73, a lifelong resident of Dollar Bay, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility.
She was born in Hancock on October 2, 1943 to the late Michael J. Starika, Sr., and Josephine (Giacoletto) Starika. She was a 1961 graduate of Dollar Bay High School and lived all of her life in Dollar Bay. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Dollar Bay.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, John and Michael, Jr.; and nephews Peter Starika and Joseph Foley.
She is survived by a sister, Margaret Konosky of Houghton; a niece Diane Ashcraft of Oxford, MI; a great-nephew, Roman Ashcraft; and by several cousins.
Private services will be held at the O'Neill-Dennis Funeral Home of Hancock with Rev. Fr. William Ssozi to officiate. Spring burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton.
The O'Neill-Dennis Funeral has been serving the family.
