Robert "Bob" Broemer Obituary

Chassell: Robert “Bob” Broemer was peacefully returned to his creator, surrounded by his family and loving friend, Mary on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the age of 90.

Bob was born and raised in Chassell, Michigan on the family farm with his sister, Agnes “Dolly” (Dorvinen). Together they were essential to the success of the historic Broemer Dairy. While serving for the United States Navy, he married Marilyn (Born) Broemer eventually settling in Minnesota. Bob spent many years working North Central/Republic/Northwest Airlines, and was known to be able to fix anything and everything.

A lover of airplanes, music, dogs, and old movies, he will be remembered fondly by his four children, Greg (Reva), Dawn, Laura, and Glen, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church of Houghton on Wednesday February 1, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Father John Martignon officiating. Spring burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton with the Copper Country Veterans Association conducting military honors.

Friends may call at a visitation at the church for an hour before the services on Wednesday.

The family requests donations to the Omega House in Houghton or to the Humane Society of the United States in lieu of flowers.
