Both Dave and I have been living in the Copper Country for many years. We sometimes saw each other when he was working at the Perkins restaurant and at Hardee's. I wish that we had spent more time together. Life is precious. You never know what the new day will bring. Let Dave's death be a lesson for us all. I vow to be more mindful in the future. Finally, I express my deepest sympathy for all of those who are grieving.

Dave was an awesome guy. We were in the same hall in MTU's West Coed dormitory and eventually became pledge brothers at Sigma Phi Epsilon. You will be missed Dave, I'm truly sorry I didn't get to spend more time with you the last way too many years. Rest in peace my friend.

My heartfelt condolences to Dave's family. We were very close at Tech and though we only saw each other a couple times after, I have many very fond memories. It is sad to see a Brother pass at such an early age. Rest in Peace my friend.

When we were writing Dave's obituary we could not think of a charity to direct any memorials to, but today it hit me-31 BackPacks! So if anyone is wishing to give a memorial in his name, 31 Backpacks is my suggestion. It is a program that feeds at risk children on the weekends up here in the copper country. Anyway, just giving that suggestion. Thank you.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Dave during my time as chapter counselor for his college fraternity. I remember his smile and cheerfulness as does my wife Linda. You'll will be missed, Dave. Our deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.
