Someone just posted that Ed had died.  I heard about Ted, but not Ed.  I am so sorry for your loss.  We just marked 36 years sober. We now live in Alabama.

There are people we meet on this journey who leave us with an impression of genuine peace, authenticity and love. I only met Ed twice, once on the street in Hancock and I believe at a Hospice training class. You were so blessed to have this man in your life.

Compassion personified Ed -- always available, ear ready to listen, heart open. Every call answered. So many lives improved by your service and example. A soul fulfilled by grace. Thank you for the gifts you have taught me over the years, my life was enriched by your presence at Dial Help and in our encounters in the Copper Country. May your family be comforted at this time and your legacy live on.

So sad to hear of Ed's passing.  What I will always remember about Ed is his smile and genuine connection he made with you.  Those greetings always were sincere and made you feel like you were the only person in the world while you were in his presence.  Sue, Kim, Greg and the rest of Ed's family may you find comfort in those wonderful moments you had with him and those special memories you made together.  Peace.

I met Ed many years ago while getting my High School Diploma, Ed was our English teacher. ED was a great guy and his teaching  method put the love of reading in my heart and I have never lost it. I haven't seen him in maybe 30 years but I remember him as a kind and gentle man who I respect, love and will miss for the rest of my life.   Rest in Peace Ed, Sun and family I send you my deepest sympathies.

Sue, Lisa and Kim,
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayer at this time.  So many fond memories of times at your house in Ripley and mine.  All the acting we tried to do.  He will be missed by many.

My heart goes out to Sue and all of the family.  Ed was the best friend I ever had in my young years and it is the strangest coincidence that he would marry a young woman who was born on the same day in the same hospital and that our mothers would share the same recovery room and yet we never met until after they were married.  May he Rest in Peace.

Kim and family. I am very sorry for your loss on this side of life of a great man. I always enjoyed being around both your dad and mom. I remember fighting thru the brush in the hills and valleys in Ripley to ride my horse from Poggoine's to your house to visit one day! Your dad didn't blink an eye when I pulled into the yard on top of a white horse! I wish you peace during this time. Cindy
