I am so saddened to hear that "Mr. Johnson" passed away. (I never could call him by his first name, I can still hear my mother telling me "always call adults Mr. or Mrs., never by their first name!") He was always a good neighbor to us all, and a fine man. I will forever remember his kindness, and his gentle nature, whether he was interacting with me, one of my sister's boys or a small wild animal ("Hello Mr. Chipmunk. And hello, Ian and Adam!"). I am glad for you to have had such a decent and honest man to lead your family, and for the rest of us to have know such a good a role model for our community. We will always remember him with fondness, gratitude, and respect. My love to all of you, Elisa

Fred was a pleasure to talk to every time we met. We sure liked to talk about our fishing stories. He was also a big help to us numerous times with legal matters. And we wouldn't be in our beautiful house if it wasn't for Fred!! We will miss his kindness and helpfulness to us in our greatest needs. Our deepest sympathies to the family. We sure lost a great man.
