Hancock: Lorraine A. Fowler, 84, of Hancock, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Lighthouse at Hancock following a short illness.
She was born in Hancock to Lila and William Moilanen on July 31, 1932 and graduated from Hancock High School in 1950.
During her life she worked at Chrysler Corporation and General Motors, Michigan Bell Telephone Company, Olan Mills Photography, and she also held a real estate license.
Lorraine attended Suomi College and Northern Michigan University, majoring in psychology and sociology, graduating from NMU in 1982.
She is survived by her children: Gwen (Andrew) Moroff of Duluth, MN, Susan J. Fowler of Calumet, Kathleen (Tom) Busto of Clair, MI, William M. Fowler of Houghton, and John (Kathryn) Fowler of Lombard, IL; 2 sisters: Judith Rupley and Phyllis Sague both of Chassell; a brother, Clarene Moilanen of San Francisco, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and cousins.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service or visitation.
The O'Neill-Dennis Funeral Home of Hancock has been in charge of her arrangements.
