I have known Mary Ellen Shane for about six years now. She was one of my favorite residents at The Bluffs. We always laughed and she always invited me in for a Coke! Everytime I saw her and asked how she was doing she would say "Better than Nothin!" She always stopped to chat and even sat down with me a few weeks ago when I was in to get a checkup. She laughed and said you are at the wrong place, you need a mental hospital. I am gonna miss her funny comments and good chats. Say hi to my dad up there Mary Ellen!

I have known Mary Ellen Shane since I was a child and I have always felt that she is one of the finest ladies I have ever met. She and Mel were such a blessing to my family when I was a child and our friendship just kept growing. Mary Ellen was the prefect blend of classy and sassy and was such a treasure to so many. I miss her so much already but I am so very grateful for the privilege of knowing such an amazing friend and humanitarian. God Bless her family and friends who will miss her dearly.
