I am so sorry and sad to hear about Dick's passing. I was trying to call him today at his home in Hancock. He was like a brother to me. We grew up together, spending many summers at the lake fishing every day. I have very fond memories of him and I will miss him terribly.

Rest in peace, Dick. I remember meeting you last in the summer of 1963 as I was about to enter Michigan State as a freshman. My uncle and aunt John and Anna Rimpela had the cottage next to that of your family at Lake Gerald. You gave me some good solid advice before I entered a new phase of my life. I never forgot that! Sorry to hear of Dick's death. He was a great friend growing up in Twin Lakes and when attending MSU. My fond memories of time spent with Dick are countless. I pray that Dick's family finds God's peace in this time of sorrow.
